CVE-2025-40551 is a critical deserialization of untrusted data vulnerability in SolarWinds Web Help Desk. The flaw affects Web Help Desk instances up to and including 12.8.8 HF1 and allows a remote attacker to supply untrusted serialized data that is processed by the application, resulting in arbitrary code execution on the underlying host. Available reporting characterizes the issue as exploitable without authentication and suitable for compromise of internet-exposed deployments. The vulnerability was fixed by SolarWinds in Web Help Desk version 2026.1.
