The CGI query handler passes attacker-controlled username or queryb64str parameters to wget without input sanitization, allowing injected shell commands to execute as root. The affected product listing also includes AVTECH IP camera and NVR devices, although the technical description specifically identifies DVR devices. Evidence of exploitation was observed on January 4, 2025.
