CVE-2025-0110 is a command injection vulnerability in the Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS OpenConfig plugin. An authenticated administrator who can send gNMI requests to the PAN-OS management web interface can inject arbitrary shell commands through crafted OpenConfig/gNMI input, including via the gnmi.Subscribe path described in public reporting. The flaw allows bypass of intended system restrictions in the plugin and results in command execution on the underlying firewall operating system. Commands execute in the context of the "__openconfig" user, which has Device Administrator privileges on the firewall. The issue affects deployments where the OpenConfig plugin is enabled, and fixed plugin releases begin with version 2.1.2.
