CVE-2023-26801 is a critical OS command injection vulnerability affecting multiple LB-LINK router firmware versions, including BL-AC1900_2.0 v1.0.1, BL-WR9000 v2.4.9, BL-X26 v1.2.5, and BL-LTE300 v1.0.8. The flaw is present in the HTTP-exposed /goform/set_LimitClient_cfg handler, where the mac, time1, and time2 parameters are not properly sanitized before being incorporated into command execution logic. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a crafted HTTP POST request containing shell metacharacters or injected command content through these parameters, causing arbitrary commands to be executed on the device operating system. The vulnerability has been publicly documented and observed in botnet exploitation activity against internet-exposed devices.
