CVE-2023-20118 is a command injection vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco Small Business RV016, RV042, RV042G, RV082, RV320, and RV325 routers. Improper validation of user input in incoming HTTP packets allows a remote attacker with valid administrative credentials to submit a crafted HTTP request and execute arbitrary commands with root-level privileges. Successful exploitation can also expose unauthorized data. The vulnerability has been exploited in campaigns deploying webshells, PolarEdge backdoors, and ViciousTrap traffic-redirection tooling.
