CVE-2020-8468 is a content validation escape vulnerability affecting agents in Trend Micro Apex One (2019), OfficeScan XG, and Worry-Free Business Security versions 9.0, 9.5, and 10.0. An authenticated attacker can bypass content validation to manipulate certain agent client components. Exploitation in Apex One and OfficeScan XG has enabled code execution through malicious updates delivered to selected workstations. The vulnerability was exploited in the wild and patched in March 2020.
