CVE-2020-28188 is a remote command execution vulnerability in TerraMaster TOS affecting versions up to and including 4.2.06. The flaw is caused by insufficient input validation of the event parameter in the /include/makecvs.php endpoint, allowing attacker-controlled input to be incorporated into operating system command execution. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this weakness by sending a crafted request to the vulnerable PHP page and injecting arbitrary OS commands, resulting in code execution on the underlying server.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting TerraMaster TOS (versions 4.2.06 and lower) for unauthenticated remote code execution (RCE) via CVE-2020-35665. The exploit abuses shell metacharacter injection in the 'Event' parameter of the '/include/makecvs.php' endpoint, allowing an attacker to upload a web shell or execute arbitrary commands without authentication. The module supports multiple payloads, including PHP meterpreter, Unix command reverse shell, and Linux binary droppers, and can automatically clean up artifacts after exploitation. It fingerprints the target's TOS version and CPU architecture via the '/tos/index.php?user/login' endpoint. The exploit is weaponized, providing reliable, repeatable RCE with post-exploitation capabilities. The code is written in Ruby and is structured as a standard Metasploit exploit module.
