CVE-2019-14931 is an unauthenticated remote OS command injection vulnerability affecting Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. ME-RTU devices through version 2.02 and INEA ME-RTU devices through version 3.0. The flaw exists in the Mobile Connection Test functionality exposed through mobile.php and handled by action.php. User-supplied input from the host parameter is passed to the underlying system shell without proper sanitization or neutralization of shell metacharacters. By supplying a shell command separator such as a semicolon in the host value, a remote attacker can append and execute arbitrary operating system commands on the RTU.
