CVE-2015-2387 is a memory corruption vulnerability in the Adobe Type Manager Font Driver in Microsoft Windows that allows a local user to elevate privileges through a specially crafted application. Affected systems include Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Vista SP2, Windows Server 2008 SP2 and R2 SP1, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8 and 8.1, Windows Server 2012 Gold and R2, and Windows RT Gold and 8.1. Successful exploitation can elevate attacker-controlled execution to SYSTEM privileges and bypass application sandboxing and low-integrity protections. The vulnerability has been exploited by APT28, JHUHUGIT, and Buhtrap.
