PSNATCH is a PowerShell-based Windows file stealer used by Pakistan-linked Transparent Tribe (APT36) in Operation RapidRust against government and defense organizations in India and Afghanistan. It recursively searches configured user directories, cloud-synchronization folders, removable drives, and recent files for selected document, image, archive, media, executable, script, and database formats modified within a defined recent period. PSNATCH limits collection by individual-file size and total execution volume, and records previously uploaded files to support incremental collection and avoid duplicate exfiltration. It creates a private GitHub repository associated with the compromised host and uploads collected data through the GitHub Contents API. The tool was retrieved from attacker-controlled GitHub infrastructure during post-compromise activity.

Windows PowerShell-based file stealer that scans for and steals recently modified documents.
PowerShell-based Windows file stealer that collects recently modified files from configured directories and exfiltrates them to a private GitHub repository named for the infected system. Collection is limited to 1 GB per file and 5 GB per execution.
Collects files and exfiltrates them, including by uploading data to attacker-controlled GitHub repositories.
A Windows collection tool used to locate files in folders, removable drives, and recent-file locations, then exfiltrate them to private repositories. It limits collection by file size and tracks previously uploaded files to reduce duplicate transfers.
