Brave Israel is an inauthentic Telegram-based operational persona assessed to be part of a broader Iran Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS)-linked cluster associated with the Handala brand and the wider Void Manticore ecosystem. It appears to have been used to recruit individuals inside Israel to carry out paid physical threat activity, including vandalism, anti-government messaging, graffiti, and vehicle arson. The persona is assessed to have functioned as an early prototype or predecessor for later MOIS-linked recruitment and amplification personas used to solicit proxies for espionage, sabotage, intimidation, and attacks. Brave Israel fits a broader MOIS pattern of using reusable personas that present as independent activist or resistance entities while supporting coordinated cyber, influence, espionage, and physical operations. Within this ecosystem, related personas and sub-brands include Handala Hack Team, Handala Popular Resistance Front (HPRF), VIPEmployment, and MOISIRAN; the broader cluster has been linked to Void Manticore, also tracked as TAG-145, Red Sandstorm, and Banished Kitten. These personas have collectively targeted Israel and, in other operations, US-linked interests. Brave Israel’s known role is centered on proxy recruitment and incitement rather than standalone cyber intrusion activity. Its behavior supports assessments that MOIS-linked operators are expanding beyond hack-and-leak and destructive cyber operations into multidomain campaigns that blend influence, surveillance, recruitment, and physical-world intimidation. The persona’s dominant purpose is consistent with espionage-driven state activity directed against Israeli targets.
