MetaEncryptor, also styled Metaencryptor or metaencryptor, is a ransomware threat actor associated with publicly reported compromise claims against organizations across North America, Europe, and Asia. Its claimed targets include organizations in the United States, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Germany, Indonesia, and Singapore. These span healthcare providers, medical-device and pharmaceutical companies, technology and electronics manufacturers, automotive suppliers, steel producers, engineering and construction firms, professional-services businesses, energy-equipment manufacturers, and defense companies. Victim listings associated with the group appeared during August and September 2026. Named claimed targets include GE Vernova, Astemo, Flex, Hudson MD Group, Beckman Coulter, AECOM, Nippon Steel, EllisDon, Hologic, and ST Engineering. The group recorded nine compromise claims during September 21–27, 2026. These claims do not establish independently confirmed compromises. Technical details sufficient to characterize initial access, malware deployment, encryption, data exfiltration, or extortion methods are not established. Its geographic origin, organizational structure, and relationships with other threat actors are currently unknown.
