CipherForce is a financially motivated ransomware and data-extortion operation associated with TeamPCP. First observed in February 2026, it operated Tor-based victim leak infrastructure and listed six victims that month. Its listed targets included technology, transportation and logistics, and business-services organizations in the United States, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, India, and China. CipherForce functioned as a ransomware brand operated by TeamPCP, which is also tracked as UNC6780, PCPcat, ShellForce, and DeadCatx3. The operators publicly introduced CipherForce as a project intended to recruit affiliates and publish stolen corporate data. The operation used its own ransomware locker and participated in an ecosystem that monetized stolen credentials and compromised enterprise access through ransomware and extortion. TeamPCP's credential-harvesting and software supply-chain campaigns provided a broader access and monetization pipeline, alongside relationships with Vect and Lapsus$; those groups are distinct operations rather than CipherForce aliases. CipherForce's leak infrastructure experienced periods of unavailability during spring 2026. Its victim leak site was subsequently rebranded under TeamPCP in May 2026.
