FAD Team, also known as Iran’s Resistance Hub and the Fatimion Cyber Team, is a pro-Iranian threat actor associated with disruptive and opportunistic intrusion activity. Reported operations include a global SQL injection campaign used to obtain and leak personally identifiable information, indicating a blend of intrusion, data theft, and public exposure of stolen data. The group has also been linked to claims of unauthorized access to network monitoring interfaces associated with Saudi religious-city infrastructure, service disruption against Bahraini media, and distributed denial-of-service activity targeting Qatari organizations, including energy-sector and media entities. Reported victimology includes a virtual U.S. Air Force group and educational institutions in France, India, and Vietnam. The actor’s observed behavior is consistent with politically aligned disruptive operations emphasizing website and service disruption, unauthorized access, and exfiltration-driven exposure rather than financially motivated ransomware.
