It has been associated with delivery via the WhatsApp-propagated worm SORVEPOTEL and has been reported to share notable code overlaps with the Coyote banking malware family. The malware is designed to monitor online banking and cryptocurrency-related services used in Brazil and to steal victim credentials. Its activity is consistent with financially motivated cybercrime focused on account compromise and theft from banking and digital-asset platforms. Known naming observed in reporting includes Maverick and maverick_banker.
